Safeguarding at ESA
Ensuring every child has a safe space to learn
At ESA we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare, physical and mental health, and safety of our pupils by creating and maintaining an open, safe, caring and supportive atmosphere, where the wellbeing of the child/children is paramount.
Our school is a place where students can focus on learning and personal growth, free from fear or harm. Through our stringent safeguarding protocols, our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and Safeguarding Team oversee a secure and supportive environment where every student feels valued and protected. Our Safeguarding Team meets weekly to ensure a consistent approach throughout the school year.
The school uses CPOMS – a specialized software solution for schools designed to manage, record, and monitor safeguarding, pastoral, and wellbeing incidents effectively. It helps strengthen child protection efforts by consolidating data, ensuring no concerns are missed, and allowing for early intervention to support students.

Qustodio
Qustodio is a digital wellbeing application designed to help parents monitor and manage their children’s online activities. Qustodio provides digital safety and management tools for families through the "My School" offer, covering their child's school-issued device and one personal device per student. Parents connect via qustodio.com/my-school using their school-registered email to monitor student activity and control filtering rules. This enables guardians to manage features like internet pausing, browsing history, content filtering, and time limits for school devices, while offering safe search and app blocking for the personal device, along with a 3-day free trial of Qustodio Premium Complete.
