The school day

The school day at The English School of Asturias runs from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Classes begin at 9:00 AM, and depending on the educational stage, the schedule varies between recess and lunch breaks. To support a better work-family balance, we offer free extended hours from 8:30 AM and until 5:00 PM. This flexibility allows parents to better manage their schedules while ensuring students are well cared for.

Uniform

Wearing the correct uniform helps promote a sense of pride and belonging at our school. Please ensure your child follows the uniform guidelines at all times. Full details and access to our uniform provider can be found here.

Families with two or more children enrolled at the school are entitled to a 5% discount on uniform purchases.

Freshly prepared meals

We believe that healthy eating is essential for optimal learning and development. Our kitchen staff prepare a homemade, balanced menu on-site every day, with options tailored for students with allergies or food intolerances.

At ESA, the menus are developed following the NAOS strategy – Estrategia para la Nutrición, Actividad Física y Prevención de la Obesidad, a national initiative which promotes healthy and varied eating habits.

All menus are supervised by registered nutritionist Beatriz Magallón, who reviews all menus and ensures that they comply with the measures and recommendations established by the local education authority. Daily meals are included in the school tuition fees.

School nurse

The school nurse is on hand daily to support students, administer medication and handle any other requirements.

Transportation

The school offers several bus routes to key areas such as Oviedo, Gijón, Avilés, Grado, Villaviciosa, and Langreo-Siero. Our transport services are constantly expanding to meet the needs of families, ensuring convenient access to the campus.
